St Clare’s Care Home

St Clare’s Care Home is a purpose-built single storey building with a fully enclosed central garden and gardens around building where families and friends can sit in privacy, there are also 24 individual bungalows on site. These are privately owned, and have daily visits by a warden.

St Clare’s Care Home has been recently taken over by Care For Your Life Ltd on 01-06-2018 and fully renovated the home with new carpets, painting and lighting. St Claire’s care home offers accommodation for people aged over 65 years old who require personal care, and/or dementia care. It also caters for people with physical disabilities (over 55 years). There are 31 single bedrooms, 7 en-suite rooms and further 2 walk-in shower rooms are added in 2018 for people with fully independent living. All rooms are fitted with a wash basin & mirror. There is also a designated Dementia wing with fully Dementia friendly environment with colour coded rooms, doors, designated dining area, activities room, own courtyard.

Bedrooms have been tastefully decorated, colour televisions are provided.  Residents may wish to choose their own decor or partially furnish their bedroom with their own belongings.  This is both welcomed and encouraged to enhance the informal and home- like atmosphere of the home whilst promoting familiarity and belonging. All bedrooms and en suites are fitted with a call aid system.

St Clare’s Care Home is located in a quiet and tranquil residential area on Birchwood Avenue with wonderful views in to central and surrounding gardens. The Home is very close to Birchwood Leisure Centre and local shops where residents can go for shopping independently.

Our aim is to provide all residents with a life that is a normal as possible, given their individual health and care needs. We provide this in homely surroundings with care that will enable them to live as independently as possible with privacy, dignity and with the opportunity to make their own choices. To ensure this, we ensure that assessments of the needs are used to develop individual care plan.
